About Me
Having chosen a path with massive opportunities for growth, the formative years were spent in a chaotic environment, where inconsistency and confusion was the default setting – this ignited my interest in human, and to some degree animal, behavior, which has been the red tread of my interests throughout this experience, also called “life”.
On my journey so far, have I found myself in situations where I have seen, and felt, some of the very worst sides of humanity, as well as the very best.
This is not about shaming or blaming anyone (I’m done playing the “blame-game”), nor am I fishing for sympathy (which reeks of victim mentality), as there was indeed a balance, and I know that everyone involved did their very best, with the resources available whether we are talking mental, emotional, physical or spiritual.
Fast forward four decades or so, I have continuously refined my own resources, which I consider to be a never-ending quest, and have added a broad variety of tools to the metaphorical “toolbox”, which I am now ready to share with others that are in the Individuation process, also called Know Thyself.
Since I resonate with the notion that we are immortal beings that have signed up for quite the extraordinary education here at “Earth-school”, I also acknowledge the lessons given, and that the clues to further advancement are well hidden within the experiences we tend to deem as “bad”.
This attitude reflects in my way of working, as there can’t be any progress by boosting someone’s inflated/deflated ego, but rather holding up mirrors, how uncomfortable that may be.
One of my favorite quotes are, and I paraphrase:
“Smooth seas does not make a skillful sailor”
If you, my dear visitor, is into “shining the light” or calling yourself a “Light Warrior” on a mission to “save the world”, you’d better leave through one of the emergency exists urgently, as this environment probably will be to uncomfortable for you.
That being said, you are always welcome back on a later occasion, or feel free to check out my <blog> as it will contain clues on how to advance in this “Earth-School”. Be aware of the occasional emotional trigger or activation of cognitive dissonance muahhaaa.
Having actively been “shining the light” (I’ve never managed to call myself a “Light Warrior”) holding the belief that I was here to “save the world for quite a few years, while the metaphorical pile of shit I was standing in, grew to enormous proportions, I realized that I’m not here to save the world, as it, in my opinion, runs on a set script (hey, anyone remember Shakespeare’s quote “the world is a stage”?), and that I must be the change that I want to see in the world.
Yes, I know, I know, so many already rehashed phrases, but they don’t make them less True.
In analytical psychology terms, “shining the light” equals to ignoring one’s shadow sides, whether it is wilful ignorance or not.
In other words, when we dare to take a dive into the underworld, to have a look at the less favorable personality traits that we unconsciously express, traits that makes us behave like assh*les in the outer world, or operating on toxic patterns that runs in the unconscious, is what one would call “shadow work”.
This process is more often than not started with one having “the rug pulled out from underneath one, typically by someone’s comment, an event or deep introspection, in some circles this is called having “a spiritual awakening”, however, this can mislead one to think of unicorns and rainbows, when it’s all other than that, which is why I prefer the term having a “dark night of the Soul”.
Digging through our internal waste bin, to find the hidden gold, then to arise like a reborn Phoenix, a new version of oneself.
Think of the metamorphosis of the caterpillar to a butterfly, or when a snake sheds it’s skin; it’s painful, it’s ugly and it stinks.
The more “down-to-Earth” information regarding yours truly, is that I started this incarnation in the end of the seventies in the northern part of Norway, I’m having the experience of being a mother, currently located south-west of the Norwegian capital, but I have also lived in Spain, Denmark and Sweden.
Previous professions, to mention a few; cabin attendant and purser, different types of customer services, administrative assignments, hotel- and standard reception, care worker, sales, waiter, and improvement assignments (specific to workplaces and routines).
